On June 25, G2 Esports announced that they’ve made another roster change by signing Cista “keloqz” Wassim to the team. Consequently, they moved Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi to the bench.

The G2 roster has now replaced every player except for Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas from their VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 1 and 2 roster. G2 and the rest of Europe start Stage 3 on June 28 with Challengers 1.

G2’s roster is now made up of these players:

  • keloqz
  • Mixwell
  • Jose Luis “koldamenta” Aranguren Herrero
  • Auni “AvovA” Chahade
  • Žygimantas “nukkye” Chmieliauskas

G2 keloqz moves pyth to the bench

Before keloqz made his way to G2, he played for various French speaking free agent teams. The most notable of the rosters were Warthox Esport, L’institut and his most recent team Megastitut. Across VCT Stage 1 and 2, keloqz and his teams peaked at the round of 64 in the qualifier stage. In 2020, on Warthox Esport, he made it to the round of 32 in the qualifying stage for First Strike: Europe, losing to Guild Esports.

His last tournament before singing with G2 was the VALORANT Open Tour France: Spring Qualifier. Keloqz, and the rest of the Megastitut squad, placed first and took out signed squads Team Vitality and EXCEL. He mainly plays Duelists for his teams. His most played agent is Jett with over 800 rounds on the character. He has put time on Raze, Omen and Sage, but not consistently. The French player will join a G2 roster with two other primary Duelist players in Mixwell and nukkye.

Pyth had joined the team almost a year ago to the day: June 26, 2020. Keloq replacing him is a change along with the recent G2 departure of Patryk “Patitek” Fabrowski. Pyth played a variety of agents for G2 but mainly filled the Controller role with Cypher, Killjoy and, recently, Viper.

The Swede is now inactive on the G2 roster and may be looking for opportunities elsewhere. G2 will start their VCT Stage 3 competition in the qualifying stage on June 28 in the Challengers 1 event.
