On the Ground

Editor’s note: this story has been updated to correctly reflect Rogue’s record.

Due to a few upsets that happened last weekend, some interesting changes happened in League Of Legends European Championship league compared to last week’s LEC player rankings. Rogue are no longer undefeated and now sit at a record of 7-2. Meanwhile four teams won both their games last weekend: Fnatic, G2 Esports, Misfits Gaming and Excel.

This ranking of LEC players is solely based on an algorithm rating players within several statistics over the entire split (downloaded from Oracle’s Elexir).

LEC player rankings: Top lane

1. Broken Blade (+1)

2. Odoamne (-1)

3. Finn (=)

After five weeks of competition, this is the first time that Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu isn’t the first place top laner. Odoamne still has very impressive numbers in lane and outside of lane, but his Kill Participation rate is of 55.1%, which is much lower than Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik and Finn “Finn” Wiestål, who both sit above 65%.

Broken Blade has a lot of impressive numbers. He averages 547 Damage per Minute (28.4% of the damage of his team) and has plus-200 Gold difference over his lane opponent on average.

Jungle

1. Elyoya (=)

2. Razork (New)

3. Shlatan (-1)

After three weeks of absence, Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz makes a re-entry into the rankings. Fnatic had an impressive 2-0 weekend and Razork a very good performance on Viego against Team Vitality; it’s not surprise that the numbers followers. The Spanish jungler now averages a Gold Difference of plus-127 at 10 minutes and a kill participation of 69.6%.

Javier “Elyoya” Prades Batalla, another Spanish jungler, still does better than Razork in both those metrics and several others. It will be hard to overtake him.

Mid lane

1. Larssen (=)

2. Humanoid (=)

3. Vetheo (=)

No changes in the mid lane this week. While statistics don’t mean everything, a decent amount of people would probably agree with this ranking. Emil “Larssen” Larsson is having an incredible split and averages 632 Damage per Minute (best in the LEC).

Marek “Humanoid” Brázda isn’t sitting far behind in this ranking and also has his far share of good numbers. He ranks first in Creeps Score difference at 10 minutes with plus-10.2.

Lastly, Vetheo also ranks first in one statistics which is with his Kill Participation rate of 73.3% as Misfits Gaming continue to climb the LEC ladder.

Bot Lane

1. Upset (+1)

2. Comp (-1)

3. Patrik (New)

Elias “Upset” Lipp can’t be upset at last week’s results as he climbs up to first place. The bot laner simply achieved numbers that are just incredible. On top of his KDA of 22, Upset’s laning statistics aren’t just the best out of any bot laner, but the best out of any player in the LEC. Obviously this also credits his support Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov. To back this up, Upset is on average 405 gold and 457 experience points ahead of his lane opponent.

Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos is also still very impressive, but Patrik “Patrik” Jírů as a new entry averages 30% of his team’s damage to champions.

Support

1. Hylissang (=)

2. Mikyx (New)

3. Targamas (=)

Patrik isn’t the only Excel player making it into the rankings this week; Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle jumped directly into the second position. Mikyx is never afraid to fight, but that doesn’t prevent him from placing 1.83 Wards per Minute. Interestingly, Mikyx is often behind in experience, yet manages to be positive in terms of gold, this might mean that he finds a lot of advantages outside of lane.

Hylissang remains the king for now though and remains the player in the LEC with the highest Kill Participation of 80%.
