When Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was integrated into Warzone, the LW3 Tundra’s prowess didn’t quite translate to the battle royale. In Season 1, it was an atrocious sniper rifle to use. There was no point in equipping the weapon over something like the HDR, which had been deemed the best sniper in the game.

However, in Season 3, the Tundra has been buffed several times. It now has definite viability in Warzone and can even challenge the HDR in mobility and fire rate. Thanks to these changes, the Tundra has a new recommended loadout in Season 3.

Best LW3 Tundra loadout in Warzone

To make the LW3 Tundra a worthwhile choice over the HDR, its key areas need to be boosted along with its overall damage. The HDR has a bigger damage profile than the Tundra but it becomes negligible with the right attachments equipped.

The strengths of the Tundra — its mobility and fire rate — can also be boosted with certain attachments. All of this is combined in the sniper’s recommended loadout.

  • Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor
  • Barrel: 29.1″ Combat Recon
  • Optic: Royal & Cross 4x scope
  • Ammunition: 7 Rnd
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

The key element of the loadout is the 29.1″ Combat Recon barrel, which was recently buffed by Raven Software. It increases the Tundra’s damage range and bullet velocity to further challenge the HDR at long-range. Following that barrel is the Wrapped Suppressor, which keeps players stealthy and provides some recoil control.

For mobility, the Serpent Wrap is in place to boost ADS time. This allows players to snap onto enemies with much more efficiency. To help with the snapping, the Royal & Cross 4x scope is equipped in the optic slot. According to the analytics, this scope doesn’t give off any sniper glint when aiming and it also has a great 4x magnification.

While still not as powerful as the HDR, this LW3 Tundra loadout gets the job done and then some in Warzone.
