For over two years, the M4A1 has dominated the streets of both Verdansk and Caldera in Call of Duty: Warzone, with some Rebirth Island also mixed in there. Now, in Season 4 of Warzone, the M4A1 has returned to take on the island of Fortune’s Keep. While some players might have forgotten about the M4A1 since it is one of the oldest weapons in Warzone, the rifle is still popular to this day. It and the Kilo 141 are among the most-used guns from Modern Warfare and there are simple reasons why. For the M4A1 specifically, it has a great loadout that’s remained relatively unchanged since Warzone came out.

According to WZRanked, the M4A1 is in the top ten of picked weapons in Season 4. While new weapons have entered since Vanguard was integrated, fans have continued to fall back on the M4 season after season. The AR is as trustworthy as a weapon comes; it features great damage range, fire rate, accuracy and mobility. However, all of these attributes are only increased by equipping the gun’s recommended loadout.

Best M4A1 loadout in Warzone

If you’ve used the meta loadout for the M4A1 at all in the past two years, then you will likely already have the recommended set of attachments available. These attachments haven’t changed simply because they are the best ones to use to make the M4A1 a viable option in Warzone.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Stock M16 Grenadier
  • Optic:VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags

Bullet velocity, damage range, magazine size, recoil control and even the optic’s zoom are all increased with this loadout. As the scope is a 3x zoom, players are advised to use the M4 at longer ranges. They can equip the Overkill perk to swap to a secondary SMG for any closer range gunfights they might get into.
