The Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle has been a polarizing weapon since its release with Season 1 of Call of Duty: Vanguard. While its large, one-shot kill area is a plus, the gun’s recoil, which was higher than any other weapon’s when first released, is also a major downside for many who use it. However, Sledgehammer Games has amended that in a recent update, buffing the sniper quite a bit.

The Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle now possesses a loadout that features almost no recoil in Vanguard Season 1. This loadout comes from popular Call of Duty YouTuber FaZe Jev. The YouTuber recently discovered that the previous Vanguard update made the Gorenko much easier to use. Not only did Sledgehammer update its recoil, but they also improved its aim down sights time. Players can take these buffs and replicate Jev’s best loadout with Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle to completely dominate enemies in Vanguard.

Improved Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle loadout in Vanguard

This loadout turns the Gorenko into more of a marksman rifle than a sniper rifle. While it can still one-shot kill enemies almost anywhere on the body, the rest of the gun looks and acts like a bigger M1 Garand.

  • Muzzle: G28 Compensator
  • Barrel: 420mm Empress
  • Optic: G1M
  • Stock: ZAC Adjustable
  • Magazine: 13mm AM 7 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Focus
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

Players can expect much less recoil and an improved ADS time using this loadout. The 420mm Empress helps to improve both of these stats, allowing the Gorenko to be more accurate and faster. Players can pair that barrel with attachments like the Fabric Grip, ZAC Adjustable and G28 Compensator to further improve those stats.

What makes this loadout unique, though, is the G1M optic. This is essentially an improved iron sight and gives the Gorenko a much clearer image when scoping. Players can now treat the sniper like a marksman rifle and run around one-shotting enemies with ease.
