Riot Games revealed the last patch of the year for League of Legends: WildRift with several additions to the game, including two new champions, and the anticipated Ultra Rapid Fire mode. There will also be new Project and Crystal Rose skins and a visual update to Dr. Mundo.

Wild Rift Patch 2.6 will be available to players on Dec. 3 and will be the last major update till 2022.

What’s new in Wild Rift in Patch 2.6

Wild Rift Patch 2.6 welcomes League champions Kayle and Morgana; sisters will add a new dynamic in-game, especially for mid laners and supports. There will also be a Path of Justice event to explore Kayle and Morgana’s rivalry. Players will be allowed to get either of the champions for free during the event.

There are also new items that could certainly change the meta heading into 2022, including Banshee’s Veil and Edge of Night. These help protect assassins and mages from incessant crowd control. Wild Rift Patch 2.6 also comes with two new original items, Hextech Megadrive and Ixtail Seedjari, for supports.

Furthermore, one of the biggest highlights of Patch 2.6 is the increase in the number of bans per team. Wild Rift ranked players can now ban five champions instead of three. This change is one that was only a matter of time given the champion pool increase in-game. Also, this new patch will introduce new ranked rewards and a Season Reward System. The Season Reward System will work just like Wild Pass, allowing players to earn Season Points for the ranked games played and performances in them. There will also be a Weekend Reward Series where players gain bonus progression on the Season Reward Track.

The new ranked rewards include ranked coins that will allow players to buy rewards from the ranked store. Additionally, Wild Rift developers have changed some things to take more action against players who intentionally lose games. All new players will get an expanded mission track themed around Jinx.
